StreamSlim ("we," "us") runs per-title video encoding audits. This page explains what we collect when you request an audit, how source video is handled, and how to have your data removed.
If anything here is unclear, email teodor@streamslim.dev directly — a real person reads it.
What we collect
The audit request form on the homepage collects:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Work email | To deliver the audit report and follow up on the request. |
| Source file link or public HLS URL | The input for the audit itself — a ladder inspection (HLS) or full VMAF rate-distortion analysis (source/master file). |
| Current encoder | Context for the report; no access to your encoder or infrastructure is requested or required. |
| Monthly video delivery / spend range | Used to estimate potential savings in dollar terms. |
We also automatically log the IP address and timestamp of each submission, standard practice for spam/abuse prevention.
Source video & files
- Signed, time-limited URLs (e.g. S3 pre-signed links) are supported so you never need to make a file public or hand over storage credentials.
- We never ask for production credentials, API keys, or write access to your infrastructure.
- Source files are deleted within 24 hours after the audit is delivered.
- Your content is never used to train any machine learning model, ours or a third party's.
- If you only provide a public HLS URL, we fetch and inspect the existing ladder from that stream — we don't store the video itself beyond what's needed to complete the analysis.
Where data is stored
Form submissions (email, encoder, spend range, and any URL you provide) are stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers KV) tied to this domain. Source video files, when shared for a full audit, are transferred and processed separately and are not retained past the 24-hour deletion window above.
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We don't use it for advertising.
We'll use your work email to send the audit report and, if you don't opt out, occasional follow-up about StreamSlim. Every email includes a way to opt out. We don't add you to third-party marketing lists.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your data, tell you what we have on file, or correct it, at any time — regardless of where you're located. Email teodor@streamslim.dev and we'll handle it within a few business days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change. This is a small, pre-revenue project — expect this page to stay short and get more formal as StreamSlim grows.
